CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE
Prior or to the construction, reconstruction, location, enlargement, erection, placement, change, or remodeling of any primary residential structure, application shall be made to the Code Administrator for a construction certificate. The application shall indicate the exact location of the proposed construction, reconstruction, location, enlargement, erection, placement, change, or remodeling and plans and specifications showing; proposed locations and dimensions of the structure. Within ten (10) business days after the receipt of the application, the Code Administrator shawl issue a construction certificate, provided the applicant has paid the required non refundable fee.
In the event of an emergency, including fire, wind, flood, or other act of God, which totally or partially destroys a primary ;residential structure or makes the same uninhabitable or unusable, the regulations of the Ordinance herein may be temporarily suspended by the Code Administrator. The suspension of the regulations shall not exceed six (6) months from the date of the destruction or damage to the structure. No construction certificate shall be transferred to another person or to another lot.
Construction certificates shall expire at the end of ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. If the construction, erection, location, enlargement, placement, change, or remodeling of the structure is not commenced within the said ninety {90) day period, 6 new application accompanied by another non-refundable fee shall be made to the Code Administrator. The owner or lessee, his/her agent or employee, shall be responsible for obtaining a construction certificate as required by this Section. A violation of this requirement shall be enforceable against any of the aforementioned persons, corporations, partnerships, or associations, either by civil or criminal action, as provided by law.
CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE FEES - The following fees shall be paid pr.ioir to the issuance of a construction certificate. Such fees may be amended from time to time by majority vote of the Village Council:

$1,000 to $2,499 $20.00
$2,504 to $9,999 $40.00
$10,000 to $19,999 $55.00
$20,000 to $29,999 $85.00
$30,000 to $49,999 $100.00
$50,000 to $99,999 $125.00
$100,000 and over $125.00
plus 1% of amount over $100,000.00
